Varsity Cats Grab Second Win!

Varsity Bobcats won their first game at home Thursday night although they got off to an admittedly slow start.  The visiting Harlan Green Dragons took the opening kick-off and chewed up nearly the entire first quarter as they drove the ball down the field, and capped it off with a a touchdown run.  The Bobcats held on the conversion run and struck quickly once they took possession.  On the third play, Colton Music dropped back and hit Austin Smith in stride for a 35 yard TD.  The conversion run was good and the Bobcats went up 8-6.  At that point, the defense cranked it up a notch and the Bobcats dominated the remainder of the contest.  The ground game was led by Logan Rasnic with 94 yards on 10 carries and 1 TD, with Jacob LeFevers adding 60 yards on 8 carries, and 1 TD.  Ethan Surgener found the end zone on a 24 yard run, and was successful on the conversion run.   Kempton Yeary grabbed an 11 yard TD pass from Music as time ran out in the first half.  QB Colton Music, was 2 for 2, 46 yards, and two TD's.

The defense was led by Jacob LeFevers, Logan Rasnic and Josh Boyette, who were in on 8 tackles each.  Boyette also had a fumble recovery.  The Cats move to 2-0 with the 36-6 win.
